International Nurses’ Day celebrated on 12 May each year in commemoration of our nursing pioneer, Florence Nightingale. Nurses represent the largest health workforce in NSW Health and continue to play a leading role in shaping health services that provide communities with timely, appropriate, safe and compassionate care. Nurses are involved at every point in care delivery, across diverse settings, and in diverse roles.

At Balmain Hospital we provide high quality, holistic, evidence based care for every patient, every time. We are Centre of Excellence for Aged Care and Rehabilitation serving our community.

As part of the International Nurses, Day celebrations, staff were nominated by their peers as outstanding in the field of Nursing Care. These staff were provided with the vouchers that you kindly donated.
