Helping Foodbank Feed Communities

At Mediserve, we love helping nurses; but we're about helping everyone we can. That’s why we partner with so many charities to help those in need. This year, our contributions to charities included numerous scholarships across Australia, providing ongoing education to children through our support of The Smith Family, and helping underprivileged families and those facing domestic violence with clothing and other necessities.
Recently, we were happy to partner with Foodbank once again. Donating to Foodbank is an initiative we have regularly done for a number of years. Our team loves to get involved directly, so we take the time to shop for, collect, and drop off all the food donations ourselves.
Foodbank distributes meals nationwide, supporting charities, schools, and communities in need. With the cost of living how it is now, we passionately support Foodbank’s vision that healthy food is a basic human right.
The hunger crisis is severe; in Western Australia alone, 371,000 households have run out of food in the last year.
The scale of their work in WA is incredible to see. Thanks to community support, Foodbank WA sourced 5.17 million kilograms of food and groceries last year, providing 9.3 million meals to West Australians doing it tough. They also support 554 charities and 552 school feeding programmes across the state. We’re pleased to play a small part in their ongoing efforts to feed, educate, and advocate for those experiencing food stress.
