Nepal emergency flood appeal

When severe flash floods swept through northern Nepal on 26 August 2026, it broke our hearts to hear of the devastation caused. On 26 August 2026, around 8.30am, a mass of ice and rock broke off from a mountainside on the Tibetan side of the Nepal-China border. In such a short time, so many lives lost, and even more lives permanently affected as homes and entire communities were swept away.

Many of the Nepalese community in Australia lost family or friends in the devastation, and since Mediserve is Australia-wide, some of the Mediserve family were personally affected by the flash floods.

If you or your family were affected by the floods, please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Although we are on the other side of the world, we naturally want to do what we can to help. As you know, we are passionate about giving back to the community, whether it be locally here or internationally.

That’s why we stepped up to help our Nepalese friends by donating to the World Vision Nepal Emergency Flood Appeal in September 2026. The World Vision local team is helping children and families stranded in the flood zone, providing emergency food, shelter supplies and other life-saving essentials.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support World Vision’s excellent work. In fact, we have supported World Vision for over 31 years - our company founders have been donating to World Vision even before Mediserve existed as a company.

As Australia’s largest international non-government organisation, World Vision reaches children no matter their background or the dangerous places they live in. We’re pleased to play a small part in their ongoing efforts.
